diaper photos

My first sewn cloth diaper without help. Just a few alterations and it will fit perfectly. Hopefully each new one will start to look better in appearance.

You did a great job! It looks like the velcro makes a good fit around his belly. Snaps can be difficult when the babies are in-between the snaps (one being too tight and the next snap over being to loose)...but velco can catch and snag a lot in the wash. Pros and cons to both I guess. You'll have to do snaps on one and let me know which you prefer.

I'm just amazed how well this diaper soaks up! I don't have to worry about leakage on my bed or other places.

Dude, I wish I could sew! I used a Gerber pf (i know i know... but they are so cheap!) for the first time yesterday. Yeah, it is 4 am here... I had to bf emme and now I'm wide awake!

I must show my ignorance...what is a Gerber pf?

Come on Lady!!! Get with the lingo...
Gerber is the brand name and
PF = prefold (the square, bulky, yet very affordable, old-fashioned cloth diaper). Chinese prefolds are more absorbant than Gerber and like brands...but if you are home and can change them in a timely fashion then more power to ya', Giz!
And, what the heck!?!?!? - 4:00 am!!!
Oh, side note - completely nothing to do with cloth diapers or saving money - but I felt Baby Four move for the first time this past Saturday night and again late last night...and this morning. This kid is a mover!!! A puncher. I love this part of the pregnancy. Gusess I better make an appointment with the doctor. I hate that part.

Are you sure your baby is not due sooner? I never felt any movements until 4 or 5 months along.

I think I'm four months along. By the time I visit the doctor I should be half way there - I'm guessing a September birth. My first appointment is May 4th and if the doctor is half as nice as the receptionist we should be good to go.
